The chances of you getting vac banned in gmod is incredibly slim because vac has been forgotten about in gmod. But injecting dll's into gmod is a different thing, but i wouldnt recommend that. I cant think of a way you could edit your game files in a way that it would get you vac banned. In theory, You could create a total replica of GMOD with the source engine and change anything at will, but you'd still be limited by the engine and i think thats something you cant really change.Īnd to your question about getting vac banned. So its not as easy as it sounds! The source engine is ancient and we have alot more tools than we used to when it was released. And definitely not legal ]īut source code is alot harder to catch, i think. But maybe a quick post onto facepunch's forums will make some results!īut good luck on your search and with whatever youre doing :] This kinda knowledge is beyond anyone on the forums. Youll probably have to modify the actual engine or use a file to change it, but due to this issue being kinda specific and rare. I dont personally know how, and i dont think anyone really will on the forums. Still want to be able to stop this if there is a way anyone can come up with. "If its so important, You can log your console into a txt file and just mass replace all the errors with nothing!" It looks like there is a command to print the message every time the game tries to ping the steam servers and fails. I'm already aware I am not getting time towards the time-played achievements, am not connected to the Steam servers, etc. If its so important, You can log your console into a txt file and just mass replace all the errors with nothing!īecause they spam up other messages in the console I want to be able to see. So far, i dont think there are a way to specfically stop both of them. Thats just the game trying to connect to the internet and telling you that you wont get achievement progress because youre offline. Why would you want to get rid of those error messages? :P Originally posted by Beef Noodles:Bit of an odd question. I think that would work by itself, but also to get menu access to extracted addons while offline, use the extended spawn menu, which I installed so it works without workshop connection :) (Just put its Lua files into /steam/steamapps/common/GarrysMod/garrysmod/lua/autorun instead of the Addons folder and behold! menu access to extracted workshop addons even without workshop connection.) ![]() gma and installing the extraction into the Addons folder. Is there a console command or launch option or other gmod magic to stop this stuff from printing to the console at the rate of one every few seconds? ![]()
